SubmitFinder Messages: Private Messaging Between Artists, Curators and Music Fans

You can now send private messages to other artists on SubmitFinder. Start a chat from any artist profile, get an email when someone writes to you, and report or hide conversations whenever you need to.

Music gets discovered through conversations. A producer hears a track and wants to collaborate, a curator wants to ask about an upcoming release, a fan wants to say thank you. Until now SubmitFinder helped you find contacts and share your songs, but you had to leave the platform to talk to the people you met here. SubmitFinder Messages changes that: every signed-in user can now send private messages to anyone else on SubmitFinder, for free.

How to start a conversation

Open any artist's profile, either from the Discover Music page or by clicking "Shared by" on a song card, and press the blue Message button. A private chat opens straight away. If you are not signed in yet, SubmitFinder asks you to sign in first and brings you back to the conversation. All your chats live on the Messages page, reachable from the menu, with the newest conversations at the top and a counter showing unread messages.

Never miss a message

When someone writes to you, SubmitFinder sends you an email with the sender's name, a short preview of the message and a button that opens the conversation. To keep your inbox calm, a burst of messages from the same person is grouped into a single email instead of one email per message. Inside the site, unread conversations are highlighted so you can see at a glance who is waiting for a reply.

Stay in control: report and hide

Every conversation has two tools at the top. Hide removes the conversation from your list; it comes back only if the other person sends a new message. Report lets you flag a whole conversation or a single message for spam, harassment, scams or anything else that breaks the rules. Reports go straight to the SubmitFinder team, who review the message and the conversation context and take action when needed.

Built to prevent spam

Messages are private: only the two people in a conversation can read them. Each account can send a limited number of messages in a short period, which stops mass spam without getting in the way of normal conversations. Combined with reporting, this keeps Messages a place for real connections rather than copy-paste promotion.

How to use Messages well

Be specific and personal. If you loved someone's song on the marketplace, say which one and why. If you want to collaborate, explain what you have in mind and share a link to your own music. Keep the first message short, do not send the same pitch to dozens of artists, and respect people who do not reply. The artists who get the best results treat Messages like a conversation, not an advertising channel.

Start talking

SubmitFinder Messages is live now and completely free. Share your music in the marketplace, explore other artists, and when a track or a profile catches your attention, click Message and say hello. The next collaboration, feature or friendship in your music career might start with a single message.
